Chefchaouen – oder kurz: Chaouen – ist einer der touristischen Hotspots Marokkos. „Die blaue Perle“ liegt im Landesinneren Nordmarokkos und ist von Tanger aus über Tetouan mit einem Bus zu erreichen, der sich zweieinhalb Stunden lang kurvige Straßen hochquält. Vom Busbahnhof muss man noch einen Anstieg in die Altstadt bewältigen, deren blaue Häuser malerisch an den Berg geschmiegt sind. Hier lasse ich aber die Bilder für sich sprechen.
Chefchaouen – or simply Chaouen – is one of the touristic hotspots of Morocco. “The blue pearl” lies inland, two and a half hours by bus from Tanger via Tetouan up a very hilly road. From the bus station of Chefchaouen, you will have to walk uphill to reach the historic city centre with its pitoresque blue houses clinged to the slope. But I’m letting pictures speak here.
